Dancing in the Madness of Sweet Psycho

Dancing in the Madness of Sweet Psycho

A Poem by Frieda P

It was a prolific day i lost my sanity
       splendiferous beyond compare
i lay back in violaceous grassy knolls
breathless, you sent me over the edge
stars were bursting in symbiotic ecstacy
              moons lie pale in comparison
living for the danger of your toxicity
your sharp as a knife cuts, abysmal
within my sinful soul's lustfulness
          strap me in hysteria's restraints
if this is what deranged feels like,
          i felicitously breathe in delirium
pain and pleasure the paradisiacal tonic
i ache for you like my next fix
you brought out my sweet psycho
             touched by your trenchant reality
marinate me in your juices
if this is madness, i maniacally acquiesce
let me savor  in this chimera
i'll dance this crazed frenzy endlessly

" I'll dance this crazed frenzy endlessly..." I do believe you would do just that! Sometimes it is a very good thing to be driven crazy, and your poem sings that sweet madness perfectly! Great!

Lol, thanks lola....
"...if this is madness, i maniacally aquiesce
let me savor in this chimera
i'll dance this crazed frenzy endlessly."

This reminds me of something that Poe--who I consider a mad, but literary genius--might've written. In fact, Aristotle once said, "There is no great genius without a mixture of madness. We need to savor this madness and release our "sweet psycho." To be normal is so dreadfully boring.

Woo, doing the happy dance in your review my dear friend, love it when you visit Ken!
Jeez woman... I do believe you enjoyed writing this one! :)
We all need a little unbriddled madness in our lives. Those that stay so atuned to the straight and narrow have no idea what they're missing!!! :)
Excellent.
