pen'd perception of heartfelt essentia

    the inner workings of the mind

language twisted into art form

   canvas on which with we spatter emotions

          perfected marble, chiseled of words

overflow of leviathan soul

   purge your worries

     a punch to the gut,

sing a song from within,

  a wink of enchantment

trip over your ego

    it can tickle or make you cry

nuances invading what makes you tick

    empathic and abstract or stark reality

hardcore erotica or sensitive romance

   dances on your tongue & twinkle toes

undefinable at best~

    unrelenting in it's charm

~I choose you to consume me~

Indeed poetry can be many things, if it is used in the right way. Always it seems it is a window into our soul and as poets we must never close that window, maybe draw the shades from time to time, but always leave a small gap at the bottom so our thoughts have a place to flow. Very nicely done Frieda. You have captured poetry in yours.

I am not a poet per se.. I think of my stuff as minuscule story that sometimes rhymes.
But, even as a story teller this still applies. The best written works are those you can relate to or identify with in some way. Be it fiction or prose.. Some part of the Author is intertwined in the telling.
