Puppet Master

Puppet Master

A Poem by Frieda P

i melted, you restored me
melded the unhinged parts
taught me how to dance again
colored my view brightly in your inception, then
placed me high on a shelf to dry
there was a permeable crash into me
reanimated by your commanding broadsword
you painted my eyes cobalt blue, they were brown,
my lips a pout'y gothic black
when i asked if I was pretty enough yet
your response added putty to my head
painted strands of golden locks fell into my eyes
i couldn't see what had befallen my stare
when i moaned i was not comfortably real
you proceeded to start all over again
dipped your brush in silver molten pots
drew my lips closed, tracing my eyes wide open
then a design that took me to bed
abiding pupils dilated wide shut
desecrated your creation, dipping repeatedly
brush stokes the color of indignant ice water
my facade began to decay,
once your masterpiece was strung perfectly,
dangled directly upon stark mantel
aloft the burnt blue embers to be sculpted
hung and perfectly molded,
sparsely dressed and practicable
prepared and ready for aesthetic recesses

This is some good poetry dear Frieda . It is like you invent the whole concept of poetry in motion all over again.
Quality as usual...:)

I hope you're doing the flawless dance Frieda ;) and my pleasure...
An unequivocal masterpiece...it blows my mind that you can churn out such incredible poetry even in times of turmoil, when I seem to struggle the most in getting my poetic tendencies in order...this quality of yours is the mark of a true poet though...wonderful work love :)

In most scenarios ;P
Some are masters and some are puppets. Some insist we change to fit their mold while others break molds. Some enjoy being turned into something they aren't. Why do we do that?
Solid write, as always.

You're welcome, Madam
Such a clever writing. Isn't it strange how someone is attracted to another, but then spends their entire relationship trying to change that person? I never understood that behavior.
Puppeteers... This is very clever indeed!

Ha exactly, human nature I guess, thanks Sera.
might have been perfect for him...but not you...

you danced as his marionette...he pulled the strings...and you moved, but no of your own free will...and when he got the look he wanted...your real look was no longer there...eventually, no part of you was real and his...or really his.

You got it in one jacob, thanks so much.
Wow, you were right, this is kinda freaky hun. Very vivid imagery though and very well written, I love the structure of it and the wording.

Maybe I did ;-) HA! You lurve it ;-) xo
This feels so real like being molded into perfection. Feels so vividly controlling. The ability to make the reader feel these emotions through poetry is difficult but you make it seem flawless Frieda.
