Moon Struck

Moon Struck

A Poem by Frieda P
"

For the Crimson diavolo, you know who you are...let it be me.

"
Celestial skies were brilliantly bursting that night
       my eyes were open wide
             when I tripped into you
swiftly fell to the rhythm of your heat
          sweet was the fluid dance
                   of merging hearts
like moonbeams that pranced on twilight lit seas
i believed in you  as the promised religion
got lost in the nirvana of your touch
i surrendered my soul in lush tones of oleander
luscious poison, so enthralling, it hurt so good
this caged freedom of flight clipped
                                  my wayward gypsy wings
i wantonly entrusted them to your care
you inspired me to captivate the moon
                              in reckless abandon
i wished upon an imploding stellar star
that this crash commune in divine reality

This is absolutely stunning, Frieda. I love the words you chose for this piece.....the images of white oleander, the gypsy wings, the stellar star......mesmerizing. This is perhaps my favorite yet. Such a vivid imagination you portray in your writings. I'm enthralled.

And may the moon always rise and bring its sweet light to you Dear Frieda. I believe the only thing more beautiful than the moon would be to see it reflected in your eyes. This was wonderul, this gave me goosebumps. You have such a way about your phrasing so that it reaches from this screen and touches the reader. Very nice.

Love the word 'stellar' woot, love your review, hell I love you! Thanks ;-) xo
this is either a really good thing or a really bad thing...

finally a love i can live with...one that just knocks me to my knees to pray to god in thanks...or "i got fooled again"

sucked up by the allure, the want...and then spat out, like always...

i see this one going either way, but either way...the wording is simply "frieda"

you have such a unique voice...you are like one of the 60's rock groups...you can hear the music and catch a few lyrics and immediately recognize the artist.

it is such with your poetry...

This feels so other worldly, the way some relationships cannot be described in earthly words. I can feel the emotions deeply, along with a bit of wistfulness. Love the line-"Like moonbeams that pranced on twilight lit seas." Great imagery there!

I kinda like that :)
This piece moves my spirit, and tickles the memory of such familiar tastes of,
" surrendered my soul in lush tones of oleander
luscious poison, so enthralling, it hurt so good..." The song...kicked my a*s for extra measure, as I read and felt the familiar feelings of "Gypsy wings clipped" Your vibe rocked my world tonight sweet, savory with a slight tang. Just what the doctor ordered!

Ha hope that didn't hurt too much, thanks Veronica, much appreciated!
seems there is a part of you which struggles to be seen in spite of your hardened veneer. or perhaps this is another of your many beautiful memories which you have decided to share or to reminisce about. either way, there is a sadness and a shadow of whimsy hovering over this piece...maybe it is just me, you know how sensitive i can be. this was a beautiful song you chose to accompany this gorgeous write, frieda. well done.

I love this poem. The imagery is amazing, but this:

"like moonbeams that pranced on twilight lit seas
i believed in you as the promised religion
got lost in the nirvana of your touch"

just wow, I have no words to describe those three lines. I am simply awestruck with this one.
Amazing.
