Pea Soup

Pea Soup

A Poem by Frieda P

the sun lost its memory
we picnicked on the moon
with laughter from long ago
i brought my pillow for dreaming
you fell asleep without gravity,
specifying the appetizer was cold
our intermezzo drowned in deep pea soup
              ...we opted against leftovers

Where do you come up with this stuff, I don't get it. Is there a guru inside you somewhere telling you all this. You really are uncanny. Is prophetic your middle name? Hmm. Very strange how you can come up with such interesting poetry. Hmm again. Yeah, hmm. haha

Thanks always Jack.
Thanks but no thanks, eh? I love the gentle relaxed mood of this piece - the unhurried, gentle acceptance of what will be or not, though I can`t help noticing just a smidgeon of irony. Enjoyable and successful. Frieda. P.

A smidge you say kind sir? Perhaps a helping more than a modicum ha ;-)
That first line is beautiful - the sun lost its memory - so many direction this line could take. And then you take it to a completely original place - a relationship that falls flat, told in the metaphor of this strange picnic. I bow to you!

Starting from the first line, you continue to blow me away with every word. Each line contains a lot of meaning. No elaboration, just pinpointed implications.
