Reverse Posture

Reverse Posture

A Poem by Frieda P

what is this gaping memory
vivid past recklessly crashing
posturing recondite & shrill
in the recesses of spent blood
crushing the backbone of resolve
moments on the clock that haunt
beckons formidable  to dare a revival
driving insanity as dusky metallic chaser
stuck in reverse on breakneck speed pursuit
esoteric wisps of darkly emotive triggers
shooting the psyche with high caliber ammunition
head on collision with fatally smoky consequences
survival hermetically sealed ripe within noxious, lethal fumes
dawn reveres the moon's pulse within further contemplation
prescribed elixir dressing wounds for temporary compensation
complications pronounced dead upon arrival...rest in peace

"dawn reveres the moon's pulse within further contemplation

- Very impressive. Frieda, you are poetess unmatched here.

This poetry has some great and incredible phrases and lines...

"esoteric wisps of darkly emotive triggers
shooting the psyche with high caliber ammunition " - So intense the agony...

Then...

"survival hermetically sealed ripe within noxious, lethal fumes" - Such suffering to live on...

One of your masterpieces Frieda.

Shocking, I like that, thanks so much Onyia-ota.
Wow, an intellectual tongue twister... we must embrace our past for it makes us who we are, but some parts do need to be layer to rest before they bury our future.

Ha you're twisted CREEPER, this would turn you on! ;-)
This looks to me like a stepped Pyramid of reality( Mayan or Aztec ) that takes us to a lost humanity and civilations
with long memeories that crashes all over upon revival and breathes a new dawn. It is all those smoky consequences that chokes us with its lethal fumes.
A powerful write...:)

Oi, green pea soup again, thanks Barbara.
Those pesky memories get us every time, don't they? Reeling us back to the rawness and emotions of yesterday, only to rip the thread holding us together apart again. Terrific write, Frieda. One of your best, and that's hard to say as you write with skill and artistry in much that you do.

So sweet of you to say Sera, muchly appreciated!
"prescribed elixir dressing wounds for temporary compensation"--what a line! I'm enamoured by this piece. Your words are truly enchanting, and I love the flow of it all. I tend to expect pieces of pure beauty and joy from you, but this one is pure beauty and danger, which I absolutely love. You've touched on something new and exciting here. Well done!
