Reverse Posture

Reverse Posture

A Poem by Frieda P

what is this gaping memory
vivid past recklessly crashing
posturing recondite & shrill
in the recesses of spent blood
crushing the backbone of resolve
moments on the clock that haunt
beckons formidable  to dare a revival
driving insanity as dusky metallic chaser
stuck in reverse on breakneck speed pursuit
esoteric wisps of darkly emotive triggers
shooting the psyche with high caliber ammunition
head on collision with fatally smoky consequences
survival hermetically sealed ripe within noxious, lethal fumes
dawn reveres the moon's pulse within further contemplation
prescribed elixir dressing wounds for temporary compensation
complications pronounced dead upon arrival...rest in peace

"dawn reveres the moon's pulse within further contemplation
prescribed elixir dressing wounds for temporary compensation"

- Very impressive. Frieda, you are poetess unmatched here.

This poetry has some great and incredible phrases and lines...

"esoteric wisps of darkly emotive triggers
shooting the psyche with high caliber ammunition " - So intense the agony...

Then...

"survival hermetically sealed ripe within noxious, lethal fumes" - Such suffering to live on...

One of your masterpieces Frieda.

You are welcome Frieda. The lines were just out of the world, this time. I had to say it. :)

Poetry at its finest.. Structure wise, I find it is quite readable backwards, which you probably didn't intend.. Enticing nonetheless.

Oh thanks so much luviva you're much too kind, appreciate it!
If this is what I think it is supposed to be, Frieda, I sincerely hope it works for you, love. It reads like a retinue of your woes being recited as a cant at an exorcism or burial of them. I hope the cathartic exercise works as well as the poetry, because the poetry works very well. The need to reverse the spiral of despair is implicit in every line of this piece. P.

Let's hope Pete, or a wee step at least, thanks so much x
I love the construct of this. I like that you used all lower-case letters. Sometimes it takes longer for the psyche to heal than any corporeal injuries. I always enjoy your extensive vocabulary.

Always appreciate your kind words blue, thanks.
Yay! Thanks for depriving me of sleep for the next year or two! This was quite a bit creepy, though I've come to that expect from you. Like I said on your other poem, in my opinion, it is just so lovely when a poet of your caliber doesn't choose to write the same namby-pamby over and over and over just so you are ensured that everyone will always like. I know you've heard this before from me, but it is kind of hard to describe how good your poems are because you can't just say, "Wow! How cute!", or "I love it!", so the end result is me ranting forever about how creative you are, and how inspiring you are, but I just want you to know, I'm not just saying that to be nice or whatever you might think. You truly are a creative and talented poet, and you have probably been the greatest inspiration to me on this site. I'm glad I found you on here. Write on! (pun intended)
