Anoint Me with Poetry

Anoint Me with Poetry

A Poem by Frieda P

Color me in metaphorical hues,
    tinges of red's soft sonnets
paint a picture within inky filigreed lace
    and fine silken threads
my religion breathes your favored essence
    twist poetry into my hair,
let me hear the music sing
bathe me in champagne bubbled prose
sending butterfly shivers up my spine
I breathe the air you pen
                          and then some again
write in blood, wake up the oxygen flow
                                  the words that artists bleed
you are my strength, my power, my weakness

i dine on the phases of your moons
cut me deep into the heart & gut
watch the movement of echoes unfold
                                       whilst moving majestic amethyst  mountains,
shred my soul with your dragon's breath
anoint my breasts, oils that seep thy quill
make me punch drunk dizzy
drenching me in your sparkling wines
clinging from the vines of destiny's path
my soul existence is dependent
 upon a verse

I love poetry that flows effortlessly and this piece does so with style. Beautiful metaphors and usage of colors. I am left in awe of the radiance of this poem. I felt like I was floating down a river of poetic brilliance. So glad I found you and your wonderful words.

Ok Ok I will climb back under my toad Stool , get ready for May and the "Toad Suck" day's whilst wilst whilst whilst. You know this is a sweet poem but the picture "Jacked it" right away from you. Henry Moreno trained "Light Light before Mc Hammer bought her, told me "never send a horse you trained to a better trainer then you" so make your poem out shine the art.

Your best stuff is the stuff that mixes literary devices with physical sensuality, and it all came together immaculately here...this is golden ;)

No Problem Freida
Butterfly motifs always entice me, as there are various ways to interpret the winged creatures. I particularly like your emotions of a love so bedazzling that it crawls up your spine. Clever diction, I do say.
Another aspect is of the metaphor referring to penned words. I faintly recognize a tinge of painting here, the mountains a direct resemblance to the shape of a paintbrush swaying as it brushes the canvas. Twisting poetry into hair also seems artisan-like, defining each strand of hair oh, so carefully as you maintain the pose of admiration to your artist.
Such a vivid, smooth love you have here.
