So dreadfully true that the wrongdoing of others have eternal effects, more so than the good deeds most times. These thoughts need to be pacified, but the human (worse if intellectual) mind will rebirth these supposedly dead thoughts.
Intense. Honest. Frieda.
Tight write, my friend.

I know, you understand this one very well, thanks Cyn!
Indeed, some things do need to be buried, but so often these things rise from the past with the mere mention of a word, or a song hear, an old hangout passed on the highway. Yes they need to be buried, but the will never be gone. Nice work Frieda.

The paralyzed life is one not lived. So often it is the result of something done to us not something we have done. Great poem on the devastation that is paid by victims when others choose not to see.

Yes good word 'devastation' thanks so much for this.
This is sombre - the burden of buried truths. Those few lines are stark - "...hurling truths take a dizzy spin/seething unrelenting savagery of mutations/seeping from the eyes through grey haze" This is superb imagery, Frieda. P.
so sad and true, you know how many have been convicted when they are innocent??
how many have spent all their lives in prisons for no reason, how many have been cast out because of someone's lying skills???
nice one FRIEDA loved it
While the original sinner walks in the world, clueless to the damage they do to others! Thjis piece takes on a subject rarely written about and you write it with style!
"some things need to be buried,
at least in the recesses of the mind, "
Yes, some are. And then put R.F.G. (Recessed For Good).
But seriously, this poem is so true. Bad things happen, to balance all the good. It's just that sometimes, it's too much. But I don't know, I feel strong. That no matter how bad the things are, I can still smile.

R.F.G. sounds good to me....tell my subconscious! Thanks SM.
For whatever reason, the collective-unconscious theory seems to lend itself to negativity a lot easier than positivity...we are a tight-knit group here and when one of us feels pain, we all feel it...but we're all in this together, and we're all here for each other...anytime a poem like this comes from any of us, it's like a warning bell to the rest of us, and we all rally together to let that person know we are there for them, even though they're probably well aware of that already...still, one can never have enough reassurance...these words are powerful, and the poem itself is incredible...such is the trade-off of an artist's existence...but stay the course, be yourself, because we love you here through good and bad.

perhaps the sins of the father should never be revisited, left in the past to gather dust and be forever lost in time. you write so profoundly and with such impact as to draw your reader into the equation with all possible empathy. i have felt and lived so many of your life experiences that i have become a kindred spirit to yours. it is always a deeply meaningful experience to read your art, my dear friend. this is no exception to that rule.

You know firsthand this one stems from a horrible dream that I couldn't shake, sometimes no matter how hard we try to leave it behind, it comes up from behind and bites us and won't let go. Much love xo
