I Write therefore I Am

I Write therefore I Am

A Poem by Frieda P

I write poetry
    because no one hears
                the spoken word
    ~ink it~
               magically,
   becomes more arresting
             than the utterance of voice

like an enchanting song
it brings a melody to mind
   undulating waves in and about
           the strings of heart
lengths of strands,
 unadulterated thoughts
            to bestow

A divine. sweet find .
like the mystical pearls of an oyster
           twisted gently to
overflow & materialize
          set the mood so elevated
take it the deepest sea depths
or the sky if you dare,
commanding in its flight...

        Just fly with it instinctively
feel the winds soar as you heighten,
                   & release yourself so freely

Yet literature may not always end up as something positive, perhaps it might be something of the abrogating mental aroma. For many authors such as myself go mad over the smallest bits of harmful realization throughout descending into greater literature.

It's all good, as long as it makes you 'feel' something in estimation...thanks Alexander.

We can say written what we cannot say spoken. Sometimes a pity that.
This is a waterfall of words that fit the whole writing.

Exactly Ken!
Oh, I love this one!
becomes more arresting
than the utterance of voice
There is really something about the written word. Is it because we don't listen so well? Is it because we don't speak so well? But when it expands on paper and we take it in, it becomes alive in our minds. And like you, I write to release myself. And I read poems over and over to consume another...

Just decided... Cali is not my true home:)
A beautiful poem. Your words flow gently and allow the reader to find understanding in your thoughts. I will tried verbal poetry soon. I like to see if I can make poetry become more alive and strong in our world. Verbal poetry is alive and well. Good to set our words free and maybe create some peace inf the hurricane of sadness. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Writing is far better than speaking because even if a spoken word is repeated a thousand times, it will never be as good as the first where a written one can sit there and stare at you until it's demolished. Bravo
