I Write therefore I Am

I Write therefore I Am

A Poem by Frieda P

I write poetry
    because no one hears
                the spoken word
    ~ink it~
               magically,
   becomes more arresting
             than the utterance of voice

like an enchanting song
it brings a melody to mind
   undulating waves in and about
           the strings of heart
lengths of strands,
 unadulterated thoughts
            to bestow

A divine. sweet find .
like the mystical pearls of an oyster
           twisted gently to
overflow & materialize
          set the mood so elevated
take it the deepest sea depths
or the sky if you dare,
commanding in its flight...

        Just fly with it instinctively
feel the winds soar as you heighten,
                   & release yourself so freely

Yet literature may not always end up as something positive, perhaps it might be something of the abrogating mental aroma. For many authors such as myself go mad over the smallest bits of harmful realization throughout descending into greater literature.

It's all good, as long as it makes you 'feel' something in estimation...thanks Alexander.

I find I write much more effectively than I speak. As much as I eff and blind in my writing, times that by about a hundred in my every day speech xD

This is a lovely write. I enjoyed it a lot.

What can I say to such a delightful review, thanks so much Gonzo!
So much truth in these words, the expressions that are portrayed in poetry far outweigh the spoken word. Beautifully written.

Your poem has beutiful imagery. It is interesting how you note how graceful the written word can appear.

Oh wowsers bd, thanks so much!
A play on the philosophy 'I think therefore I am', I assume this was intentional? :) "the mystical pearls of an oyster", I love that line, they are certainly something of sublime nature. The only conflict I have with this piece is it's flow, since there is connection between some lines and not others, however, as you affirm, writing is an artists vice, and with it they create their own language. :) Very lovely
