Warm Space

Warm Space

A Poem by Frieda P

You are my warm place
        that safe haven to land
at the end of a hectic day
you are that cozy blanket
with soft fuzzys come to play
joy, bliss and rapture all enveloped
 in a tiny package
when my head is in a frenetic pace,
i come to this space
my heart rate settles, my soul dances,
                my mind erases the chaos
and all is right
                       with the world once again

"she's well acquainted with the touch of a velvet hand like a lizard on a windowpane" okay, now you've done it. just my fave member of my fave band of all time singing one of my fave songs....hmmm.... but , somehow, i don't think this is where your poem is coming from, even though it is an excellent choice in musical accompaniment. terrific write! ......bang, bang, shoot, shoot

There's a mysterious element to this. It's very personal yet universal poem

Love your review DLj, thanks so much.
She's not a girl who misses much...especially when a finger is on her trigger...I'm tempted to say take ten steps and jump that blanket, but I think I'd be missing the point...not enough warmth in my head these days I guess ;P

lol i can never sing it, i meant that it should be sung(professionally)by a professional singer..
Very Nicely Written,
It could lead the imagination to so many places as we all have our own "fuzzys" that settle our mind.
It could be the love of our life or simply a comfortable bed.
Thank You for sharing.

Your "moments" are better and larger than my days.

We all need that place or that person that's able to make the worst day better. This was fantastic!!!

Oh thanks Keely, I was hoping that would come across.
A poem to snuggle up to! Not sure what fuzzys are but sounds comforting.
