Sad Violin Tears

Sad Violin Tears

A Poem by Frieda P
"

awarded 1st runner up in the Almost Anything writing contest... thanks!

"
...i vividly recall,
like sad violins
  i heard you cry
but a mere child
      what could i do?
 you danced
         with the devil,
we all paid the price
you kept us
      in harm's way
how could it be
         i needed to act
 the stronger of us
nevertheless,
   it taught me strength
each blow
like a dagger to the heart,
blood pooled
        around my feet
whilst you begged
for mercy
                    prayers
 were never answered,
screams
 were never heard
          only the echoes
         of violin tears
                   whilst I grew strong

There is little left for me to say by way of comments as you know me so well now and vice-versa...I can only send you notes to let you know that I've read your work and offer my ear (or eyes if you will) should it ever be needed...likewise, your writing is vivid and powerful enough that it does not require technical input...your voice is a breath of fresh air when positive, and a lightning rod of poignancy when negative, but both states transcend the page and penetrate the mind...you're the total package, to put it one way...I know you've had a rough few days and I hope that Frieda the dancing sensualist will return soon ;)

Exactly, thanks jacob.
Very beautiful, so very beautiful, Frieda. I feel as though it's connected to your sister, perhaps...? Nevertheless, fantastic work Frieda.

Love always, mi bella,

These words flow with the sadness of how strength can be learned through no adverse intention on our part. Sad to have to begin lessons at a young age.

The violin is my favorite kind of music. Thank you for the video and the powerful poetry. Some people dance on a dangerous line and leave us with sadness. No weakness in the outstanding poetry.

It's really about the emotion it evokes, not all violin music is sad, thanks so much for your review.. read more

Thanks for pausing on my page, much appreciated.
I've always had a soft spot for the violin. Maybe it's because the sound it creates...seems to resonate with human suffering. Stunning work Frieda...stunning...

There is always something that lies beneath all things which is considered as the ultimate root of everything. This is once again a quick peek to your past Frieda but only to your foundation of facts and knowledge. Haunting words expressed in retaliatory fashion.

That's what I like, a review with attitude! ;-)
A powerful write. This is one of those "there's a lot beneath the surface" pieces, and I like that. I think that all readers can relate to this in their own way, even though it is qutie literal in its intensity. I enjoyed the read, well done.
