Sad Violin Tears

Sad Violin Tears

A Poem by Frieda P

"
...i vividly recall,
like sad violins
  i heard you cry
but a mere child
      what could i do?
 you danced
         with the devil,
we all paid the price
you kept us
      in harm's way
how could it be
         i needed to act
 the stronger of us
nevertheless,
   it taught me strength
each blow
like a dagger to the heart,
blood pooled
        around my feet
whilst you begged
for mercy
                    prayers
 were never answered,
screams
 were never heard
          only the echoes
         of violin tears
                   whilst I grew strong

There is little left for me to say by way of comments as you know me so well now and vice-versa...I can only send you notes to let you know that I've read your work and offer my ear (or eyes if you will) should it ever be needed...likewise, your writing is vivid and powerful enough that it does not require technical input...your voice is a breath of fresh air when positive, and a lightning rod of poignancy when negative, but both states transcend the page and penetrate the mind...you're the total package, to put it one way...I know you've had a rough few days and I hope that Frieda the dancing sensualist will return soon ;)

This is a powerful piece. I saw it as the voice of the unborn taken through abortion. However, I know that other people process it totally different. You are thinking outside of the box. Excellent!

Sounds like she had it pretty rough, too...no excuse, though...just saying. Good, powerful, cathartic write. Well done.

The violin can carry such powerful emotions, as did your poem. Well played. ;)

As the notes of the violin filled the night air, a little girl would too often cry
While another one prayed and prayed that horrific pain would die
yet it was not to be
the horror continued
the pain was unbearable
one was able to endure - if only barely able to do so
the other not
and yet the stronger one must still hear the notes of the violin play as tears fall and a heart bleeds with remorse that shall surely last a lifetime.
It isn't fair. God no, it's so, so dreadfully unfair!! I am sorry you have to live with the memory of it.........not only of this horrific abuse, but of the loss that rips you apart!
Your words are descriptive enough to never forget. The sound of the sad violin accentuates the powerful emotions you feel!!!
Hugs and Loves............an unending abundance of them for you!!
