They come in waves, Oceans foaming, giving life
filling in the gaps of grief
putty on the holes of indifference
the world disperses so freely (no equity but all can share)
and the warm air holds the tear in place
soft in place ,defying gravity, a angel, a word of thanks,
to mother ,to Mary, to Frieda
and I am not talking Kahlo
she is a butterfly too

Sometimes I would like the believe that all the good people in the world who ended up dying end up living even happier lives in Heaven...this can lessen the pain...and I'm glad I felt that way while reading this beautiful tribute...R.I.P., your broken angel...
oh a dictionary poem! i love when i have to read a poem with a dictionary by my side it makes me learn new words that i would never of learned before. i love this poem. its structure is amazing
Your imagery was soft and giving. I enjoyed the visualization. I did not understand why you would want your vision of angels to have "broken wings" though. I would think perfect delicate wings would be the vision, but I am missing something I'm sure.
Loved the read Frieda!

I just think that when these lovely survivors make it to the heavens, there will be nothing broken any longer... Finally we can be the perfect creations we were intended to be. All the more perfect in knowing the imperfection they came from.

my pleasure its the least i can do for some one who touched me so deeply.
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
