Stepping Out on the WC

Stepping Out on the WC

A Poem by Frieda P

Jungle beats
            of the heart
tango steps
             of the soul
         dancing the sweet melody
           of verse
poetry is like
               the call of the wild
off key, low key,
it's all the same to me
you can lead the way,
             I won't skip a beat
waltz me to the end of time
tap dance
 around nature's harmony
write an entire symphony
notes of rapture
lyrics that fandango
           frolic to love
dipped jazzy
into fiery inferno's play
rocking music
 pounding in the loins
tap me on the shoulder,
 take me for a spin
 where the rhythm counts
 on the writer's cafe
   whip your hair
 to the beat frenzied
 stanza's cadence
per chance,
             you hear
  passionate chords

Encore, take a bow....

I did feel the jazz in this, and perhaps in such a mood, the "writer's cafe" sounds like a real place that I'd visit :)

So happy you felt that MKS, thanks so much.
This poem is very animated. The rhythm is composed of abrupt, disconnected parts or sounds just like dancing the fandango itself. There is an obvious truth on this piece which I think everyone will agree. Nice one!

Have you actually danced the fandango Maryanne, I just love that word, thanks!
He felt a distinct stir in his loins...
