Unleash Your Soul

Unleash Your Soul

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Sometimes we can't see what's right in front of our noses...written for crankypants.

"
Eyes have it,
          windows of expression
can I reach into yours
          and pull out your soul
there's a void in your being
         where color used to breathe
you blink a thousands deaths
 before I wake
darkness overwhelms
  the sight's vitality
reality has robbed you of your vision

Paint a picture in your mind
 of sweet subsistence
         as good a place to start as any
add lush emeralds of rain-forests,
 lapis lazuli majestic seas
buttercups and lemon pie
 of days beginning,
magenta and ultramarine
azure puffy pillows,
  blush of crimson
 scarlet blossom tears desire

Achromatic flashes
          keep you from seeing
                 the twinkles impulse
         cobalt bedazzlements
shall open your eyes
     to heartbeats
  a thousand kisses deep
let butterfly sparks
     flaming incandescence lead the way
open your soul,
          let the light refract
  diffuse your vexation
             extend and clear your heart's view
     let the sunshine's inrush
    reflect in your eyes

What can I say...I truly expect before long there will be a new style of poetry named...like Haiku, Villanelle, Limirick, Senryu, Tanka, Acrostic, we will also see Frieda.

Your style is so unique and refreshing, like a warm sunny day in the middle of the harshest winter, your words shine.

There's such beauty outside if we were not blinded by the achromatic flashes inside!
With every poem, I think Frieda said it all here and then you again surprise and amaze me with something totally unexpected and new!

Sometimes when we have to motivate ourselves to live on, these are exactly the sort of feelings I would try to stir in myself. Touching to the core!

Love you too ;)
Yes, if we would or could just open our souls to the light, our hearts would see the joy laid out before us and the monsters in the dark would look less terrifying. Just like when we close our eyes and hide under the bed, when we close our hearts and hide our souls we live in a quivering weakness. "let the sunshine's inrush reflect in your eyes"
Well said.

Under the bed seems safe sometimes...but that's not living...as we know it should be. Thanks so muc.. read more
