Essence of Flutterby

Essence of Flutterby

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Another breathtaking photo lovely Priscilla sent me...was begging for to be written.

"
Shall I inhale you,
drink you down to quench my thirst
will you give me strength
to overcome and ease my mind
should I let you escape
into the ether or follow you there,
if you should flutter by
my soul's essence and tickle me
will it stir all those beautiful memories
 to refresh anew,
old photo's recaptured in my head
now a dimly lit view of yesterday
pour me a giant carafe
of your grace to fill my senses
it goes down smooth
           gliding past my heart
      hungover on your essentia,
flowing liquescent
              languidly whispering...

'I will always remember'

I love how you have brought you beauty into this piece, layering emotion so eloquently. I breath in your essence as it floods the space between what lies on the page and what comes from your heart. I can feel the timid step towards the risk of loving another, the knowing reality that not all love lasts, and the savoring moments shared, those small bits of time that we hang on to that makes it all worth experiencing.
Bravo, my sweet friend, my sister, my wife;)

this is very cafe like; the self cooling mood, not the trouble with thinking too much about what's going outside the window, this is not wham bam thank you mam traffic , or drama we experience through a self gratification desire, there's more to this piece than that kind of sexual altercation..

I like how you take the void in place of decisions with the stanza "should I let you escape into the ether or follow you there, if you should flutter by my soul's essence and tickle me will it stir all those beautiful memories to refresh anew," you put it to bed with the context being a feeler more than a dreamer, I like that.
it makes me think of all those trees that communicate with each other through a root system deeply embedded and buried below, or heart beat magnetism in the science of the earth's pull, and yet some of us walk around totally unaware....great piece

And you say I am a romantic...light the candles and serve the wine...I'll be right over.

You have poured so much love and joy on us here, the desire is immense and the beauty overflowing. Such a soft and sweet poem...very nicely done Dear Frieda.

Thanks Deron, love when someone gets the 'feeling' part.
Really special, Frieda. I'm not going to give you overly gushy reviews. Simply - It's splendid, you rock! It'll speak slightly differently to everyone. Hits home for me - so, going in the favorites - 'nough said :)

You know I'm a little partial to the odd flutter.... it's what I do and what I am..

pour me a giant carafe
of your grace to fill my senses
it goes down smooth
gliding past my heart
hungover on your essentia,
flowing liquescent
languidly whispering...

'I will always remember'

Thanks so much for your lovey review!
well, you do have your moments and this is decidedly one of the larger ones. too sweet and serious to be taken lightly, this is a magnificent homage. well worded and masterfully penned.
