Poignant, ethereal and plays with my mind all at the same time.... there is so much heart spilled into every breath beneath the surface of each word...I could feel the voice pass through me, as it awakened understanding emotions, and bookmarked familiar memories.........

Sorry Angel, I don't know I missed this grand review, really appreciate your kind words....
Nice...You know I've been waiting for this one ;-)
I can relate to this piece wholly. Even in my own comfortable skin, I still feel this way. That sinking feeling of too much baggage, wondering, How much is too much? When is it going to be too heavy for two to carry and one lets go and saves himself? I am only just now starting to accept that is not going to happen, but it's been an awfully difficult swim. Great stuff, Frieda.

I think your I.N.T.I.M.A.C.Y. with this piece is in the context of (in timing) and the depth you speak of can not be measured with the lengths of a human estimate, of course the Greeks and Romans unit of measurement was called a Lick and Pace, Ironic to think of .. The Lick was used by the Greeks to measure the distance from the tip of the thumb to the tip of the index finger ,and the Pace was the length of a double step, about 5 feet. Are not those two civilizations responsible for the fore father of philosophy, drama and the language of love? Either way, with these forces you use your body language written well ...your means are within arms reach, and I can surely relate myself chronologically to the kind of waves your pen has calmed..

This is like, "Yes, Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus," and "once upon a time"
or "in a land far, far away."
In each, you have to blindly except the fact that yes, there are good places
still that we can go to and feel and live "alive."
Thought whether yours is the real Santa, that's another question altogether.
Wonderful write.
(I choose to believe. After all, Peter Pan was a real boy, right?)

I wouldn't tell Robin Williams that. Too hairy to be a girl.

Us country bumpkins can't always get to the big city to see things the "proper" way.
Somewhere inside us is a little spirit that holds up a sign that says--WAIT A MINUTE, HOLD ON! You remember what happened the last time you rushed into this? You wound up hurt, you better slow down.
When we've been caught in a history of rushing into relationships that didn't work out it can really screw around with our confidence. It makes us wonder if there really is joy and happiness to be found in someone after all. Our decisions become clouded to the point where we don't want to get involved. Then, later on, we second-guess ourselves as to whether we made the right decision or not.
A relationship takes time. We have to sip at the "Sweet cup of tea" before downing it all and choking. Relax, go slow. That should be the way. If not, little red flags will wave in the winds of desperation. In ourselves or the other.
The reviewer could be totally wrong but he's on a roll so... :)
Good one Frieda.

I'm loving this new system of yours, you take such care in your reviews! Thanks so much Relic.
Photo was beautiful and the poetry was amazing. Good when we desire to swim in the depths of love and the spirit. I had to read your words again for the pleasure of the thoughts. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
