Gum Relish

Gum Relish

A Poem by Frieda P

You hold me between your teeth
and gnash
never really chomping down to enjoy
release not an option
         Am i sustenance
or just a piece of snappy gum
to keep you busy whilst you fancy
all the nuances of savor,
be sure to taste your words before
 eventually spitting me out

Just hope you don't get popped in a big bubble....chew that gum, chomp, chomp, blow a bubble, and then you pop it before someone else can.....lol I hope he has gum left all over his face!! Take the pepper out of his peppermint, the juicy out of his fruit!!
Give it to him!!

I loved this Frieda. Can't remember how many times I've been bubble gum. Haha. Thank you.

Sorry somehow I missed this one, thanks Skittles!
Good write. Some can't be content with what they have no matter what. And it doesn't ever seem to worry them if anyone gets hurt while they scurry on with their dreams.

I think we all know someone like that, thanks Michael.
Direct and honest words. Sometime we get treated worst then the garbage. No weakness in the excellent poem.

Love this. Your letting them know where you stand so to speak or them being chewed out, lol.

Thanks BlackRose.
It is a "daunting" feeling to be held and tasted, but never swollowed down and taken in...
You captured a profound abuse of life's sweetest treasures here.

Which part? ;-)
For soon this person will loose the tasty gum. I like this and how you are able to express yourself with words of honesty yet holding back no punch. You conveyed a message in 13 lines which is impressive. The flow was precise as the thought process behind this piece.

Wow, thanks so much for your review justjenn.
I see my post early didn't actually post! Grrr... my internet has been loopy all day! Love the castration of those that use and manipulate - you definitely chewed them up and spit them out! :)
