Bodacious Scones

Bodacious Scones

A Poem by Frieda P

Will you share your scones with me
                after you've cracked the code
drip the honey cream
 in dollops upon
                   appetite's hunger
 to be quenched
fed from the spine
               of lofty lovebirds
interludes drenched
            in cherry extracts

Could we just dally in
               lime gardens paramour of sin
naught to pack baggage
              or a suit of armor,
 sublime in the grassy
                   knolls of capriciousness

          Let bubbles trifle of moira
          & past grievances
   waft to kingdom come
take a snippet
 of poppy seeds delight
       rummage through the frogs legs

Turn the key, to deliver
 cries of sirens and baby's
           yearning for mother's pearls

curdled in the breast
             of heat we've given up
         the voice of lucidity's warmth

Fever strums the soul strings
with antidotes
 of lemon cubes and vodka
desire and assumptions
 cross the ferry
       with oars of apprehension

Splendor in the glass
of nostalgia's moon
           whilst a butterfly spins
      seascapes prospects squeak
            a certainty of designs
 starved with sanguine hunger

           The sting buoyant with stickiness
         uncomfortable marmalade
                     and bloodshed
press a balm
 unto the heart unenthusiastic
            with crayola's choice of blue

Brazen the audaciousness
 of bodacious
  slay the song within
                  whet the whistle
          of aching tresses grace
seize arrested heartbeats
               license felicity to  prevail

i am so confused, my intellect is not functioning at present....i know there's a message in here but it eludes me. i had too much to dream last night and i'm suffering from cranium flatulation today. this still gets a very high points score because i know what a terrific writer you are, but i honestly didn't have a clue what the f**k you were trying to say.

Gosh, I thought scone is a head of something. Literally a 'head' like head of a hammer. Okay I give up. I should have googled it first before delving into the piece. Maybe it's the Asian in me. I don't think there are scones down here anywhere. Anyway, aside from the punishing vocabulary, it looks yummy. The scones. Is it really? This is an excellent write. I mean it. And after reading it five times, I was finally able to breath.

Within your words lie the sweetest aphrodisiacs of limitless passion; romantic, sexy, and tender. Pass the scones, please, I say, licking my lips.
