actually, it has been proven that Van Gogh was accidentally shot by a young boy in the town and let the authorities think his wound was self inflicted to keep the youth out of trouble, so his dying act was one of protection and love for a child, even more romantic, n'est pas? nice acrostic, by the way!

I wish I had some sort of artistic ability...I can't even draw a stick figure. Actually, strike that...I'm crazy enough just being a writer. I couldn't imagine what might come out onto the canvas if I knew how to paint. Scary thought ;-) This is a great write, Frieda.

Van Gogh didn't commit suicide? I thought he... oh wait, now I see Quin's review. okay. I like this. Van Gogh is a favorite artist of mine and he was quite the inspirationally crazy genius. nice :)

I read the same story as quin apparently but I'm not so sure it's true, I tend to believe Don McLean, he didn't write Starry Starry Nights for nothing! ;-) Thanks for reading...

ahh yeah, that's true. I didn't hear the exact story, I was told that he was killed by someone he loved but because of his note people assumed it was suicide. you're wlcome though :)

Superb! The line of people was ridiculous and yours truly was wearing heels! But it was priceless. The psychedelic color mixtures of purple, blue hues to imitate midnight n the contrast of yellow stars. I swear he was high on something...inspiration or insanity bears fruit to originality.

ahh monet and the world of impressionism...both work has distinct style still both leaves an impression to me and to others who love their work.... i guess van go inspired me most because of his paintings of sunflowers....
