For Lee, there's a big void that can never be filled in your absence, you took a part of my heart with you when you took flight. You called me 'big sis' and I miss hearing that with every fiber of my being, you were, and will always be my 'baby sis'.

I'm sorry Deron, I know that pain well...thanks for your kind words and support x
Hun, this is so painful for ME to read and I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you. I know that when someone you love and cherish dies, you're never the same again. You miss them everyday, I know that. Just know that your sister will is looking down on you, she is happy for you, she is proud of you!! You're truly amazing and I know from what I read about her, that she was too.
"You colored the world
With blasts of rainbows
You softened the blow
With lovely laughter
Your smile lit up the room
Like incandescent candlelight"
Oh my word! Amazing! This is so sad and touching. Your sister would be proud! A lovely tribute to her!
100/100 for sure!

You're too sweet farfalle, love your review, put a smile on my face hon. xo
My parents lost my older brother to illness. Eighty two years later I asked my Papa about it. He recalled Mama weeping and wailing her inconsolable grief.
“I don’t think she ever did get over that.” Papa said.
There had been and will be tears and dreams, my friend. There will surely be wounds that can never be completely healed. And true enough, there are no words strong enough to console and we are powerless to control the involuntary impulses of our thoughts. The good thing is, we are also powerless to control the passing of acceptance.
And for the poem itself, the diction and structure used connect the theme in that without them, the poem would not have the impact that it sends out to the reader. Although you have sucessfully created a solemn mood and emphasized the theme of the poem which is death, the idea of feeling toward the subject is more peaceful and more meaningful than tragic. It is ironic(in a good way) that although death is present, the content of the poem is anything but comforting.

it is a hollow, empty space left in the heart when we lose a family member/loved one. i know this on a very personal level and i feel your grief within every penned word herein. it is only a blessing that you have the gift of writing to help you emote this sense of loss and compassion and do it very well.

Thanks quin, your words always bring a smile to my face, even under the worst of circumstances.
I'm sorry, Frieda. And I'm sorry for saying that, I know that after a while "I'm sorry for your loss" just won't hack it. But there are times when even I can't find the words to say. I can tell she meant a lot to you and thank you, for introducing her to us, in this way.

Sorry, I had a feeling you would have heard that a lot, but for whatever reason I said it anyway...
If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
