Suspended Prose

Suspended Prose

A Poem by Frieda P

You breathe me lifeblood,
               evoke me from my slumber
My destiny was in the
                 artlessness of love
    I surrendered myself to peace
          of lucidity's aesthetic
        mine own inanity bore itself

                 No kisses to wake
 the enchantment of winter
tucked away smugly wrapped
 in fusion of titanium
thoughts never to venture
                      flight again

I inhaled the magic elixir
so that my  being could soar
      above perpetual weeping sleep's
 dying adulation of
      earthly amour without prose

                      Ecstasy & rapture
on the winds of passion
 I found my freedom
locked away where pain and hurt
                         do not dare render
          neatly tucked on communion's
                 cloud nine surrender

Your veneration roused
  inert savages
cavorting blissfully
                    that dance of spirit reborn
    moonbeam wishes caught
 my piquancy
                    in naked wantonness
i live in this banality of insanity
        within this shuffle

~suspended~

 in this dreamlike stanza
         my breath transcends

wakefulness in arousal

essence of poetry

Your poetry is getting better. You need to be published. Your words flow with purpose and have no mistakes to confuse the reader. Thank you for the good music and the amazing poetry.

"...thoughts never to venture flight again..." I assume it was intentional that you used this line twice, I scarcely believe you write anything unintentionally, but I wonder if it would seem more deliberate if you wrote it a third time, to sort of bring the point home, as opposed to it looking a bit samey...like maybe you forgot you used it then used it again *laugh* Other than that small little silly insignificant thing that I am probably the only person it bugged ;-) this was really beautiful. You're so good at this type of poetry, Frieda. I just love it.
