Drift Away

Let's float away

                          just you and me

                               above the clouds

                   our own peace of sky

                                            where poppies sing

           and birds do flips

          the moon

                          another chichi dimension

                                    we'll touch the stars

    the two of us

                                              burn every ember

                            till it sizzles

             Drift away with me

                      in my wafty bubble

                                where rainbows split 

                                       the air with confetti

 our eyes

                          will burn aflame 

                                       with lapis lazuli

                                      our hearts

                                              will meld

                                                   as one

                                                           like the

                                                                 fire

                                                                 of snowflakes

You bring out the best in me when you use quirky fun phrases like "Drift away with me in my wafty bubble where rainbows split the air with confetti" and " our hearts will meld as one like the fire of snowflakes". There's an easy brilliance to your writing. Not that it was easy to become you... :-)

I filled up a gallon jar with my treasures and prepared to go...my stepfather found some of his stuff in there and made me give them back. That blew my cover for a while.
