CHILL

CHILL

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Just for fun on a chilly Sunday!

"

what childlike delights shall winter conjure
snow the colorless crayola of weather's fare
laughter of snowmen in the air mark the joy
we ponder the icy mix and warm thoughts evolve
hot cocoa, warm spiced cider, good friends to call
snowflakes dance on my toes and tickle my mind
lively Jack Frost with all it's crystalline wonderment

--- what's snow? -- lol - very delightful, once again, amazingly well crafted poem.
i am in Central FL now...transported from South FL, and for me it gets pretty cold here, when i'm outside and claim to the sky "if it's this cold, it SHOULD be snowing. but alas, it never does, at least not where i am. again, i love the delightful, whimsical imagery portrayed here, left a smile upon my face. Thanks for sharing! :)

So glad I gotcha then ;-P
Nice and wintry, you have brought back memories of my youth. Besides, anytime you use the name Jack in a poem, it has got to be good.

lol, but of course! thanks Jack...
You make snow sound like so much fun but for me all I can think of is how cold it must get. Doesn't snow much where I am at the beach but if it did, I would go and play in it simply because you have made it sound so enticing. Another great poem Frieda. :)

You have written beautifully Frieda and the poem conjures lovely images.
Though personally I could not relate to this poem much coz I live where I live. And the times I did visit countries with snow, I spent a big part of my stay, cringing indoors, dreading moving, coz it was so cold. :(

Very cute write, I love the Gotcha!!! haha this poem makes me feel jealous that I haven't seen snow as yet.. I'm going to be like a caveman discovering fire when I see it for the first time lol

Nice poem. I love the snow. I used to love visiting my aunt and uncle in Oregon when I was young. I really like the second stanza. I kept reading it over and over,
