Double dirty Martini, make it Belvedere, extra dry  

it'll soothe my doldrums, on my way to a good cry

I didn't see it coming, you left me high upon a soar

blinded by the light, had no clue what was in store                  

you dropped me heartless from the sky like a B-52 

no concern at all, a mere bug scraped off your shoe

should have stayed home that night, ignorance is bliss

spying on you and my best friend was a big,  fat dis

I used to be the one that could make your motor purr

hindsight 20/20, now all I can think is....................

                      Sweet merciful crap!  I sure do miss her!!

Your poems give no mercy! I like the black and white of the mind set. It feels honest. Our lovers should be closer than friends before we let them into our bedrooms... I think this is seldom the case and we end up not even missing what we thought we had to have. Then we do miss the friends we lost along the way.
A nice drink for thought.
