...another day in ShangrilaA Poem by Frieda Phalf tongue in cheek...Powdered sugar streets candy coated mountains remembering when life was so simple celestial fireworks star beams blew magenta woke up this morning... where has lucidity gone what happened to my youthful expectations stuck in the brackish ooze the cuckoo ate my dignity repenting dirty laundry, lost in muck of love analysis inevitability of every day granite nuances fetter cinereal brain charger pistons low devoid, half fried, half baked sparks lost their intent toilet flushes came to visit dragged the hideous demons Cinderella and Georgie Porgy over for a play date just another day in Xanadu eating crow and playing chess checkmate and other suppositions came a callin' dank days turned parched tsunami rained on my parade my best fiend is a demon king sire alcohol and his wife Margeherita i'm too early for death, too late for child's delectation random sarcastic and morose in place of jazz enchantments first row tickets for a dream expired thank my benign stars for poetry keeps my demiurgic distillation flowing if not for that that great AWOL resident bedlum bughouse a certainty just another day in paradise *LALALALALALA* © 2013 Frieda PFeatured Review
