Buried Diddums

Buried Diddums

A Poem by Frieda P

Graveyard is my soul
 wisps of mongrel dog tails
mangy mad dogs bite
yelping for their dinner
bottled southern comfort
slaughtered pigs feet
to soothe your diddums
fry poison mushrooms
an elixir of stinging nettle
it's never over til the end
there is no end in sight
swallow the worm whole
gag on worldly powers
spit it out and you die
kick the can
hide the bucket
first prize on the list
brain sick membranes
grey matters madness implode
bend over for a abrupt rise
eternity has been granted

Didn't get it, feeling really dumb right now, it's interesting to read what with the great wording and the "mellow" imagery but could you please enlighten me O great one! Don't mind me too much, sleep deprived right now but don't want to sleep. I mean it's freakin' 3 am here and I want to go to the terrace and scream out, talk about insanity...damn I'm gonna stop talking now...interesting write btw!

Grazie Skittles, much appreciated...
And it's all over - peace is finally found as this poor, wretched soul sinks into the ground! The line, "grey matters madness implode" - one can't even think of sanity again! What a price to pay for eternity!!

Very dark a bit like a tribute to death and the grave. Nicely written.

Thanks Carolann, yes, very dark.
Well, this isn't a "I'll sit down with some Moose Track and the world will be just fine," is it? Call the fire department, the ambulance has crashed on the scene. Southern Comfort, AND the worm? That's gonna hurt later. And I used to love seeing that worm disappear.
Glad I'm not inside this train wreck. It even hurts to be an eyewitness.
I've got aspirin and the makings for bloody Mary's when you need one... and you will.
Oh the write... "insanely" good.

I know that recipe very well.
Humanity has become a menagerie. I think you expressed that with witty tongue and razor sharp intelligence.
