I won't dare try decipher this, cos I'll get it wrong. (Remember?) :)
However, the atmosphere and language is dark and pithy, pure and flawed. Stimulating and intense, FP!
If you like, you can change 'left it's mark' to 'left its mark'. You'll be saving an apostrophe and doing your bit to cut down on carbon emissions!

All reviews come from our own instigations of lfe. I thank you kindly sir. Caron emissions. ha. ;-)
A powerful book. I like the way you gave life to the words. Scarlet letters were a mark to punish and create fear.
"I wear this badge, although not visible
it's left its mark for eternity
forevermore I shall remain Scarred"
Thank you for the excellent poem.

Thank you Coyote, that's what it feels like to me too.
A very good write, Frieda. We are all marked one way or another, visible or not. It's how we continue in spite of it or because of it that shows our true character. Well done!

Serious, Strong, and Powerful. Can feel the pain and weight throughout this piece. A very strong end to it, forevermore I shall remain Scarred. Sometimes we go through events in life that do this to us but the strong bounce back and I wouldn't say move on, but they do move past it although the marks still show below the surface. God bless you Frieda P, you're a brilliant writer.

Been getting a lot of blessings as of late, ha, I think it's a lost cause in this situation, you're right, we can bounce back but the mind is always held prisoner in that place. It leaves an indelible mark. Thank you Kee, you're always too kind. x
This is the kind of scarlet letter that leaves one permanently scarred on the inside where others cannot see it, but the one who must bear the shame of it sees it every time they think of the one who branded them.
The one who bears it feels the pain of it much more than the heat of a branding iron - it is now a part of their soul, robs them of their joy, spills into each part of their being, and all the while the marker sings of song of satisfaction.......how horrid, so very, very horrid for the victim!!
Your write singes my heart!

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
