Crash Sight

Crash Sight

A Poem by Frieda P

Chasing demons through
 rush hour traffic
outcast on the road of epiphany
life support crashed
 the blinking lights
zooming
high speed through stop signs
stalled
 on median's intersection
top down
 and people all stare
flip them the bird
 and blare the blues
take off for
Hollywood and Vine
boulevard of dreams and denial
swerved
down one way street
accelerating the opposite way
crash site
 a  haunting revelation
'objects in rear view mirror may appear larger'

for me, i donno how i get safe after every drive. i think we are not ourselves when we drive. most of the times we drive crazily although we dont like it when others do! there is a saying here..drive slowly to arrive fast..i believe in it although im not always following it..
very nicely penned as always..
