RAPE

RAPE

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Protest Senryu

"

Worse than deadly sin

Rape, an assault on mankind

Never turn blind eyes

this is so tough...i had a friend years ago who got raped...she would never report it...just lived with it afterwards...and i know it always haunts her...but sometimes trying to prosecute the one who did it puts the victim through more pain, guilt and scrutiny that she does not deserve.

in ways, the bad guy wins not matter what.

A pain unlike any other strips an individual of their inner strength leaving then to suffer the merciless pains of the street!

:-)
It is an inversion of beauty and love! Sick and hateful! Never, ever, should we allow these tragedies to go on hidden or ignored.
We panic when a few lives are lost, but ignore the thousands of women around the world that have suffered a living death.
I admire those women who create something new and learn to live again.
Sorry to go on and on... Can never say enough!

Thanks Insanity, more often than not.
This should be published in the Indian papers, wake up call.. We do not tolerate rape and people who commit such a crime should be brutally punished!

There are far too many blind eyes in society....especially when it comes to women and children. It makes me sick. Not much I want to say other than that...just thank you for protesting....

Thank you for being supportive, it's a sad state of affairs yes.
your poem is really sweet, your poem relates to mankind but the topic of the poem does not. i dont think those who make such a thing do really belong to mankind. they are bullshit, neglected, nobody loves them or they wouldnt do it..

Thanks k.
I usually avoid reading or writing about it. Can't handle it. But, you know, good little senryu. Seems to matter what happens, nothing changes.
