Ah the tree...bittersweet isn't it? How I love the lights and the sparkles, hanging the ornaments...well now, that can sometimes bring a wide range of emotions indeed. I hope your holiday was spectacular...best wishes to you too Frieda :)

I think your poem has brought me a revelation of sorts, specifically about ornaments. In same ways, I guess ornaments are time capsules with many memories attached to them.

Your lines helped me realize what I mentioned before:

I thought about the ornaments that have been in my family for 20 years or more, and then I smiled. You have brought all of us a piece of the timeless joy the Christmas season has to offer.
