Magic Gone to Infinity

Magic Gone to Infinity

A Poem by Frieda P
"

The loss of my sister is never greater than at this time of year, she was a Christmas fanatic and brought a special magic to the holidays.

"

There is no comfort to wrap around this loss

my mind goes to what could have been or was

concept of suicide is puzzling at best

the pain searing and everlasting

It reaches to the depths and breath of your soul

with no reprieve of understanding

a reminder an angel's gone from sight

agonizing in the dust remaining behind

Have you found that peaceful haven

 you so very desperately sought

what's left behind is the wreckage

of lives and people you once loved...

Nothing fills the void in the heart

it crevices deeper with time

resting on the surface a valiant

effort for self-preservation

Spending time in reverie and wait

hoping visions or clarity's obstructed view

will come to fruition and make sense

emptiness explodes this time of year

There is no true sound belief

or acknowledgement profound

of existing energy to enrapture us,

that  your reasoning brought you

to a better place of peace beyond

just the emptiness and conclusion

with the resolute existence of truth...

you are gone forevermore to infinity

Christmas no longer holds that same magic it did when you were with us...

Merry Christmas little sis xo

As a widow Frieda I truly understand this pain. Sept 25th is when I feel this way. I don't have the questions of why suicide was committed but I do have the question to the two that killed him of why? It is hard, so very hard. You have done and excellent job writing this.

I feel your sorrow, I feel your pain. I know it's so difficult day by day but especially around the holidays. You're in the Holiday cheer one minute then everyone leaves and you break down. I know I did. It's been tough after losing my father this year and not having him here. I'm truly sorry for your loss.
You have done a magnificent job on this piece. {{{HUGS}}}

Thanks so much Claire, really appreciate the sentiment. Enjoy your holidays.
The same goes for me since my n=mothers death... I still love this time of year but it just isn't the same... this is powerfully intense in emotion... just remember when we keep a loved one in our heart they are never far away.

She's always in my heart, still not easy Dale, sorry about your mom.
The pain is greater in this poem then much other places. My heart aches for you and your family. I'm so sorry for your loss...I hope the memory of your sister will bring you joy as you see her beside you this season. May she always be with you.

Ah, one of my favorite quotes! Thank you so much for your kind words.
i can understand the feelings in this great piece. we are different in beliefs but feelings are enough to unify the world. death is the major of such factors of unification of feelings in our world. it was, it is and it will always be since however conflicts and differences, we are all to death. no person living in this world is away from such feelings because everyone of us must have lost someone who is dear to them. this feeling of loss is renewed when there is a happy occasion like chrismas..just we try to go on with our life while we know one day we will be to where they have gone..

This is moving. I think these thoughts have been pondered by many and many a time, either in retrospect or considering the act even if not seriously. Lots of love.

Thanks Misty, appreciate your kindness.
the loss of a loved one tends to pill the freshness of emotion when you think of them especially on certain days or months. For i know the feeling of loss. yet we know their in a better place then we are in heaven's gates but we are selfish in wanting them to come back to us but we're not robots we can't help what we feel, for this feeling of loss is truly painful you Laid this read down very nicely written keep writing fellow writer
