Bare Exposure

Bare Exposure

A Poem by Frieda P

If I expose my soul, will you still love me
If I let you touch my soft underbelly
and I cry my sins to the winds of war
will you grimace and walk away
If I let you seep into my veins
will you remain fluid
If I let you see the truth in my eyes
will you be blinded by the past
If I let trust build a tower
would you climb that leap of faith
If I opened up my heart to you
would you bare your womb to me
If I unfold my arms for you
would you let your truth seep into me

I am in constant awe of women as they enter relationships and make themselves so vulnerable in the process. I think sometimes it is best to say that the past is yours and today and the future is invested in another person. We are who we are and that isn't always what others want us to be. All that is capsualized in this work very well and I could feel the underlying question of "is the real me sufficient and what will I get in return?" I really enjoyed this one.

well thank you very much, I guess you like both of our's then lol :)
this can be viewed from both sexes eye view we all as people want someone to love and be loved and pour our whole being within someone who will not look at you any different no matter what these questions you ask in this piece are rather strong question we all deserve a answer to

When all else is stirpped and we can be honest, well...this piece speaks for itself...
Wonderful alignment of balance, hope, questioning and searching, lovely!

simply breath-taking. i always enjoy visiting your lovely writings. your words so eloquently captured the apprehension of how one feels in starting or being in a relationship, exposing their heart, their body, their soul. i love the fluidity of this and every word you used and how you used them. again, simply astounding. 100 to 100 --- brilliant write, my friend c:

this is very good...the vulnerability, the asking of the questions.

but vulnerability is good...i do it...nice to see when a woman is willing to also...
there is something sensual about that.

you are so right...it is not sensual if the vulnerability is abused.
