This is some good poetry. I like the thoughts and strong statements.
"no words that make sense but pierce the soul
lost my religion with the plot
pricked by the rose a thousand wishes deep"
With age I like words in poetry. Real life leave words weak and unnecessary. Many visions create by the excellent poem.

Such sadness and disappointment in this, makes my heart ache. Never give up hope, never think that you are not loved or cared for. Remember eternity is always just a heartbeat away.

I don't give up hope too easily, I just frustrate easily! Thanks :-)
You are right. There isn't any need for a description of the poem. The title says it all. (I almost never use a description anyway. I let the poems explain themselves, for the most part.)
And this poem did... very well.
Do I have religion? Yes, thank you, and I am very comfortable with it. But, it took me a long time in finding it.

It is. Rod is always good with my morning coffee. Second cup, btw.
It sounds like a confession, of something we all experience through the variety of human experiences. Is this us growing old or is this us learning to adapt to reality or something else I cannot say...

It's more like disillusionment I'd say....if I understand myself ;-)
Many people postulate the science of belief more than accustomed erudition or thick knowledge, but to I the earth is yet a normal earth, but belief has enchanted us in great and hermetical ways. Life has now been administrated by Religion more than acumen or actuality

Heretic! Bring the pyre! But seriously, there does come the point when experience and logic begin to demand their place in the scheme of things and all the concepts shot into us like vitamins or vaccines begin to dwindle into the waste pile of all the absolute truths that went before. I sincerely liked this very much and share every emotion it creates and every opinion it screams. Thanks for this one.

~ have you heard that REM classic called "Losing My Religion" ? ... i researched it recently and it seems that the term "losing my religion" typically means "losing one's temper"... ~ my faith in human beings was restored when i started reading and interacting with mr. ed hart and mr. frank james davis...(to begin with)... and, i found them on this site... ~ you're an incredibly gifted poet and you strive for excellence in poetic expression... keep writing... i have faith in the power of poetry... it is a blessing... not of the religious kind but of the humane kind...
