Heartwarming T.V.A Poem by Reclaimed(formerly the freak show)What's heartwarming? A paraplegic mixed martial artist Getting pummeled Or the lady who got her face eaten off by a chimp On Oprah Let's listen to that 911 call... right in front of her Everyone cry now Her face is a hole Everyone cheer now Oprah dried a tear They are so brave So heartwarming.... exploitation It draws the crowd We used to have freak shows Just as ugly now, if you can see Through the heartwarming tv With no face, the sans hand and foot warrior - we have the freaks We have the shows, we have the means to rebroadcast.... To the broader audience And that entertainment dollar? Stretched over commercial breaks A fortune is made Still not for the freaks They're just the 8 billion dollar industry fodder The rebuilding is a sham (sigh) It's really not that heartwarming Most of us really are that gulible though And that's really f*****g heartbreaking © 2016 ReclaimedAuthor's NoteFeatured Review
