the only thing enchanted about the forest was that you walked it with me. we stopped where there's mirrors on every side, allowing you to see yourself from every angle in a momentary objective view. if you stood just right, it looked like you were gazing me right in the eyes, but I knew all you saw was yourself when you said your nose is bigger than you thought from the side. how symbolic it was of my desperate loneliness, staring in your eyes' reflection, cognizant of this unilateral feeling, but never fully believing you weren't staring at me too.
