I'm Not A Chai LatteA Poem by anonymously anishaI'm sorry :(
The stiffness
the rigidness that defines me that alienates me from even the ones who understand. Why do I wait until the car to cry? Why does my voice get deeper like coarse velvet, cuts like ice when I wish it to be a creamy chai latte, a warm embrace, a reassuring smile, friendliness, grace, style. I'm not like the others but I want you to know I'd do anything for you, I wish it would show. © 2010 anonymously anisha |
