An apology to my other classes for spending so much time on AP English

I’m on my knees,

oh please take me back.

Yes, I had an affair,

but cut me some slack.

I meant to do you yesterday,

I know that’s what I said,

but someone more demanding came along

so I did them instead.

They were really hard,

so it lasted pretty long.

They weren’t better than you,

just different, is that wrong?

I’m so sorry, chemistry,

but you have competition.

AP English seduced me,

now I’m struck with contrition.
