Stone HeartA Poem by anonymously anisha
At the museum gift shop,
among knick-knacks and rock candy, I found a beautiful stone heart and bought it with the hope to give it away. My heart sat in my backpack, my dresser, on my mahogany bookshelf. Forgotten. Waiting patiently for that one special day. It was a heart of stone, grew colder every second. If someone only held it, put it in their pocket, all of the cold would melt away. But until then it sits on a shelf waiting patiently for its gray to be pink again For its night to be day. © 2010 anonymously anishaReviews
