Almost

Almost

A Poem by Freeman

Your words ring true
throughout my soul,
Clumsy , foolish
when left alone.
Hearts to nourish
care to feed,
neglected of passion
will start to bleed.
Stem the flow
Compress with love.
Almost perfect
too perfect
to touch.

I like the structure of this poem, the repetition and the lines dwindling at the end.

There are such richly painted thoughts flowing here, as you confess a loving dependence on another.. one who speaks deeply to your heart. And your last line is a brilliant expression of that overwhelming sense of being.
