Where does It go

Where does It go

A Poem by Freeman

The journey begins
Felt it will never end
Marshmallow happiness
Brings fire to our heart

At the centre content
No finish line still
Filled with caramel dreams
A heart of delight

Time to think now
Old and new
The cold starts to bite
Darkens without warning

Enjoy the gifts life gives
And keeps giving
And you have
Live like its your last
It will never be enough

This one ends up quite abruptly, puts a whole different slant on the first three stanzas. Starts out sweet from the heart and ends up melancholy. Interesting combination of feelings, makes you think.
