A Poem by Freeman

You fall, I catch again and again
misshapen heart for me to mend
Mine not yours, you dont feel
leave alone, alone to heal
Slowly, steps that we take
Easily, mistakes that we make
Dont put me at the back of your mind
as I begin to slowly lose mine.
Something I miss, to hear, to touch
silence- you say, but not to much
follows a feeling, I long to feel
A kiss is all that makes us real

This brought a smile...especially the last line. Very nice piece. I like the internal play on the words within the stanzas...this was something a few of the master poets were adept at, John Donne, I think was one of those masters. And for a guy who was Dean of the Anglican Church he sure did write quite a bit of bawdy poetry. lol Very racy stuff for the 16th century. :o) But this is great stuff you have here, heartwrenching and witty.

Freeman - THE PUNCTUATION THING...

Something I miss. To hear. To touch
"Silence" - you say, but not to(o) much
Follows a feeling I long to feel
A kiss is all that makes us real.

Powerful stuff here - show it off in all its' finery!!!
Love it!

I enjoy a lot the way you write. Few words, but well chosen, and simple feelings. Great work.
