Trimming Loose ends

Trimming Loose ends

A Poem by Kismet

mind stills, eyes go blank
dried up love, empty bank
give up, fires out
all we do is scream and shout
the sun gone down
no star in sight
a love so strong
turns to fright
eyes were shut
blindness ruled
truth concealed
embers cooled
a future gone
which once was bright
a heart of stone
so contrite
