Misery

Misery

A Poem by Kismet

Misery loves company
So she'll keep you in a cage,
Trying for a new chapter,
but you're stuck on her favorite page,
Anything is fair in her loveless war
And when you've nothing left to give
she'll keep on taking more
Your tears she'll dry
though you're still sad
She'll rip you apart, screaming,
"You thought this was bad?"
You'll beg for her mercy
Cry and scream and plead,
But she'll drain your mind,
and leave you to bleed...
Her name is misery and she'll keep you locked away
Fighting for sobriety, in a drug fueled haze,
And she's you're heroin...
