facts based upon
opinions of others
and only ever offered up
without another's prompt

it's not as if she's
short on other's information
either

too busy for this
small town and always
running from
school to college to job

frugal to the point
of rotting green
pennies in her pocket

too busy to live,
really.



III.

couldn't stereotype him
for the life of me
and a bard with
his escapades on too tight

in a hurry to shame
for liberal ideas
because his are better than yours

but oh, that belly laugh



IV.

serious jokes are always about
that which
isn't funny

bestiality
and all that
and too damned attractive
for his cocky good.



V.

my love,
was i ever really trusting anyway?
distance makes my skin crawl
the way the sight of her makes me nauseous.
