The Wanted Universal

The Wanted Universal

A Poem by Freddie Stradlin
"

Musings, critic please. Perhaps could be lyrics...

"
She prowled like a tiger Danced like Ali
Eyes burning through me like fire
With her finger tips she brushed her velvet lips
By now my arousal couldn't be higher
As she advanced she gave a sideways glance that to beckon me closer
Then with with a swift shift of her hips she stamped all over my illusion
Bypassing me, imagine the scene,  as she embraced another face to  my immediate behind
Disenchanted once more and feeling a fool left the club for the walk walk home.
I was about halfway there when i met a man who begged me to lend him his taxi fare
Kindly i obliged, whipped out my wallet, and thats when he socked me between the eyes,
Kicking my affable gesture in the ribs and away he fled
Lying flat on my back, cursing the god i don't believe in
I said i'd read his sign, thought he was a s****y advertiser.
All at once i heard a yell, tires screeched, a  panicked door slammed i was hoisted to my feet
i turn my head, my vision still a blur, and yet i know this girl's no peach
Her eyes gawk, she begins to talk but i'm busy busy dancing with gratitude to denote what she's been saying
My heroine offers me a ride, i say "that would be sublime, i dont live far from here."
We get talking, next thing we're sipping coffee and it's been quite a year.
I love her smile I love her clothes I love her love's glow on me
But for love to work and love to grow it needs to both to love and i don't love HER that i know.
She caught me weak, finding solace in her safety net. I'm happy and i'm comfortable
And bearing no falsehoods she needs me much less than i need this.
