Still Water

Still Water

A Poem by Whiles

Still water

Still perilous water

still water

still water got a glassy edge

bottom is mud and the sky is stone

Jackson didn't heed what mama said

boy went swimming he never came home

still water

still nasty water

still water

mama hits the water and starts to moan

makes a little ripple but the water stays smooth

little boy must've sank like a stone

they'll never find his body and that's the truth

still water

still, broken, tricky water

still water
