Lulu

Lulu

A Poem by Whiles
"

silly, lyrics

"

walkin by me

having a smoke my

baby lets her hair down

strolling down the street

I make a joke

her laugh splits the evening air

I wouldn't trade her for

anything

not diamond rings

not gilded things

my friend's worth more than that

drinking at nine

dancing at ten

playing the guitar all night

she understands and

won't talk too much

her smile makes me feel alright

I wouldn't trade her for anything

not diamond rings

a friend like her is worth

more than that

i love you and this poem. thank you for writing it.

i love how your poetry is divided into stanzas, it's so natural and satisfying. each one is a little image, and you don't say too much, which makes the reader work a little - the stanzas have clear, unifying tones and themes but the picture that the reader gets is made from his or her own interpretations of how those images link together.
